The SimSpray machine is a virtual reality painting simulation tool which allows students to experience a realistic 3D stereoscopic spray paint simulation. SimSpray is designed to enhance traditional teaching methods by helping to teach spray painting and coating fundamentals. Students learn correct body positioning and movement for proper painting techniques as well as proper equipment setup. Students also get feedback through scoring for things like transfer efficiency, mil build, angle, distance and speed. They also receive an overall score and cumulative score for an entire project.
